“We are delighted to welcome Garrett Bergquist back to BHS,” says Dennis Kemmann, CEO of BHS-Sonthofen corporate group. “Garrett's extensive background in chemical engineering and his profound understanding of the industry make him the ideal leader for our team in North America.”
Garrett Bergquist began his career as a Process Engineer at Celgard, LLC. His journey with BHS-Sonthofen Inc. began in 2014, where he initially focused on laboratory and pilot-scale testing as a process engineer. His role evolved to encompass filtration equipment selection, sizing, scale-up, commissioning, and troubleshooting. During that time, through Garrett Bergquist’s work as applications engineer, the largest ever indexing belt filter produced by BHS-Sonthofen was sold.
In between his tenures at BHS, Mr. Bergquist served as the Director of Sales and Business Development at Steri Technologies, a Long Island, NY-based manufacturer of batch filtration equipment. His exemplary work earned him a nomination and election to the American Filtration Society Scientific Committee in 2023.
Reflecting on his decision to return to BHS-Sonthofen, Mr. Bergquist states, ”As a cutting-edge equipment manufacturer, BHS provides expert knowledge that allows us to push the boundaries of equipment application to meet new and exciting market demands. With the emerging markets in battery material production and recycling, as well as green initiatives surrounding the circular economy of plastics, we are well-positioned to meet the new requirements of the Green Chemistry Revolution. When I was offered the chance to return to BHS in a leadership role, I was excited to rejoin a company that is posed to be at the forefront of these important industry developments.”
Customer first
Mr. Bergquist is committed to elevating BHS-Sonthofen Inc.'s customer service standards. He emphasizes, “In an industry where many offer similar equipment, our proximity to North American customers, dedication to service, and filtration know-how should set us apart. As President and Managing Director of BHS USA, my main goal is to put the customer first by establishing a culture of diligence and responsiveness, while offering customer-focused initiatives that allow BHS to provide the highest quality parts with reliable delivery times.”
