Incineration plants produce ashes contaminated with salts, chlorides and heavy metals, which are considered hazardous waste and must be disposed of in special landfills. By washing out these substances on continuous BHS vacuum filters (indexing belt filters), valuable materials can be recovered and the environment relieved.
