Whether plant protection products such as pesticides, fungicides and herbicides or fertilizers: the rotary pressure filter (RPF) is the most suitable closed system for the production of agrochemicals. The continuous and fully automatic high-performance filter offers maximum safety - and requires no manual intervention other than for maintenance. The machine enables gas-tight cake treatment in several separate process steps.
BHS vertical dryers and mixers are an excellent solution for the homogenization and drying of powdered to granular products in the agricultural industry. The fragile products are processed quickly and particularly gently and the reproducibility of the recipes is guaranteed. Thanks to the special shape of the mixing container, the product is almost completely emptied from the bottom while the mixing tool is running. The machines are easily accessible for cleaning purposes or, alternatively, the cleaning processes can be automated. The design and construction are GMP-compliant, and many variants can be selected to suit specific applications.
In the processing of chemicals based on renewable raw materials, the filter systems, mixers, dryers and reactors from BHS-Sonthofen ensure high product quality and yield as well as efficiency in the treatment of solids and product quality. Examples include cellulose derivatives or bio-based polyamides.
BHS dryers, mixers and reactors are ideally suited for conditioning flame retardants. Horizontal or vertical, from 3 liter to 50 m³, with reaction temperatures of up to 500°C and pressures <25 mbar. The mixing, drying, and reaction processes can take place in one machine. In the reactor variant, a typical application is cross-linking of melamine and phosphoric acid to create melamine (poly)phosphate. In the drying mixer variant, red phosphorus, ammonium (poly)phosphate, and melamine (poly)phosphate are dried, while the mixer variant is suited, for example, to coating flame retardants with silanes to improve the surface structure.
