In addition to the rotary pressure filter, the indexing belt filter (BF) is also used in the processing of a wide range of chemical products – especially for applications involving abrasive solids. Both filter systems are highly efficient due to multi-stage cake processing.
Together with your input, we design the separation solution that best suits your needs. The solution we will develop guarantees maximum yield, high product quality and minimizes the total cost of ownership.
For manufacturers of plant protection products such as pesticides, fungicides and herbicides or fertilizers the most suitable closed system for the production of agrochemicals is the rotary pressure filter (RPF). The continuously and fully automatic high-performance filter offers maximum safety and requires no manual intervention other than maintenance. The machine facilitates gas-tight cake treatment in several discrete process steps.
When it comes to homogenizing and drying agribusiness powders and granulate formed products, BHS vertical dryers and mixers are the tools of choice. The fragile products are processed rapidly and particularly gently, and the reproducibility of recipes is ensured. The special shape of the mixing container means that the product is almost fully discharged at the bottom side while the agitator is running. For cleaning purposes, the machines are highly accessible or alternatively, cleaning processes can be automated. Design and construction are carried out in accordance with GMP, and there is a wide choice of application-specific variants.
In the processing of chemicals based on renewable raw materials, the filter systems, mixers, dryers and reactors from BHS-Sonthofen ensure high product quality and yield as well as efficiency in the treatment of solids and product quality. Examples include cellulose derivatives or bio-based polyamides.
BHS dryers, mixers and reactors are ideally suited for conditioning flame retardants. Horizontal or vertical, from 3 liter to 50 m³, with reaction temperatures of up to 500°C and pressures <25 mbar. The mixing, drying, and reaction processes can take place in one machine. In the reactor variant, a typical application is cross-linking of melamine and phosphoric acid to create melamine (poly)phosphate. In the drying mixer variant, red phosphorus, ammonium (poly)phosphate, and melamine (poly)phosphate are dried, while the mixer variant is suited, for example, to coating flame retardants with silanes to improve the surface structure.
