AOK soccer camp in Oberstdorf once again sponsored

August 6, 2024
In 2024, the AOK soccer camp once again took place with two great camps and over 160 young talents.
Great summer weather, first-class coaches and ever-increasing demand - that sums up the AOK soccer camp well. In Oberstdorf, young soccer enthusiasts aged 7 to 14 were once again able to develop their sporting skills. From 6 to 8 August and 13 to 15 August 2024, the two three-day camps took place in the Oybele Stadium below the Nebelhorn, organized by FC Oberstdorf and led by former professional Andreas Maier. This is already the fifth edition of the popular camp - and BHS-Sonthofen is proud to have been on board as a sponsor once again.

The AOK soccer camp has now firmly established itself as a summer highlight in the region. And for the fourth year in a row, BHS-Sonthofen supported it as a sponsor. “It is a matter close to our hearts to provide young people from the region, including the children of our employees, with such a valuable leisure activity,” emphasizes Managing Director Dennis Kemmann. “With top-class coaches, the AOK soccer camp offers the children exceptional opportunities. We are delighted to be part of this success story.

During the six days, it was impossible to miss the connection between the traditional Sonthofen-based company and the event. The logo of the machine manufacturer shone from afar on the boards and signs and on the jerseys of the young footballers. Light-up yo-yos with the BHS logo were also handed out as small gifts to the young footballers.

Numerous representatives from politics and business came together for the official opening on August 6, 2024, including the first chairman of FC Oberstdorf, Hansjörg Donderer, AOK director Thomas Michel, Oberstdorf's mayor Klaus King and Bavaria's Minister of State for European Affairs and International Affairs, Eric Beißwenger. The presence of Dirk Hendrik Lehner, CEO of uhlsport, and other sponsors underlined the importance of this event.

Organizer and former professional Andreas Maier was visibly grateful: “Thanks to your generous support, we were able to successfully hold the camp again this year and make the 5th anniversary a special event. Your commitment in every respect not only helped to secure the camp, but also meant that we were able to offer the 160 children and young people taking part an unforgettable time full of sport, team spirit and fun. With your help, we were once again able to invite top-class coaches, provide excellent training materials and put on an all-round successful event.
